 Near Earth Asteroids
Potentially Hazardous Asteroids (PHAs) are space rocks larger than approximately 100m that can come closer to Earth than 0.05 AU. None of the known PHAs is on a collision course with our planet, although astronomers are finding new ones all the time.

On July 5, 2015 there were 1594 potentially hazardous asteroids.

Notes: LD means "Lunar Distance." 1 LD = 384,401 km, the distance between Earth and the Moon. 1 LD also equals 0.00256 AU. MAG is the visual magnitude of the asteroid on the date of closest approach.

The colours and contrast differ as the test continues (pictured). People with protanopia lack long-wavelength sensitive retinal cones to distinguish between the green, yellow and red spectrum. Dueteranopia affects the same part of the spectrum, but sufferers lack medium-wavelength retinal cones. Meanwhile, tritanopes confuse light blues with greys, purples with black and mid-greens with blues

There is also a colour blindness simulator, designed by a firm called etre that lets people see how images appear to people with all three types of colour blindness. This image shows the colours and brightness of Times Square in New York to someone with normal vision
