Returning to the breath, we are already aware that we have a dual function breathing... in addition to the subconsciously function, we now know, that we can consciously influence on it...
We can to "will", accelerate, or slow down, as well as our practice allows us to do ..., so we can do it, to the extent permitted by our training...
However, this has its limits: speed up means more breathing, more intake of oxygen...
... And if this is done in excess, the body's self-defense, self-preservation, simply acts and makes us lose heart...faint
In extreme cases we might fall into a coma, and death would come... I used to know a "student" of these systems, many years ago, who died of a wrong practice of inhalation / exhalation...
So, practice much care and prudence ... I must add that, in addition to have a tendency to breathe more deeply, when we focus on the inhalation / exhalation, air can go straight down, to the abdominal area, (bottom of the lungs) or to the upper part in the lungs ...
We will see later: diaphragmatic breathing and other systems ... the important thing here is that you can control where it goes the air: above the lungs? ...Below them? ...
... This is especially important to note, because by our way of breathing, inefficient and "modern", sedentary mostly, the lungs are filled with air "junk", dirty, black, stale, especially in people who have smoked ever, and heavy smokers who are still smoking...

So, controlling the inhalation, leading it consciously to the bottom of the lungs, we begin to clean all that rarefied air...
Let's do it for three times the first time; rest three minutes, and we do it for 5 times; rest three minutes, then do it for 7 times ...
Again three minutes we rest, and make one last set of 9 reps...
After that, we rest a full day, and repeat again the whole series of 3,5,7,9, next day...
After doing this for a week, concentrated in the lower lungs, the next week we'll do almost the same, except that this time, the air:  we take it to the top in the lungs ... bringing air to the bottom of the lungs is going to "pump" the stomach ... ... ...
